Connect with Local Families at Trunk or Treat
Bring your creativity, candy, and campus spirit to the inaugural campus Trunk or Treat event! On Sunday, October 18, from 3-5 p.m. in the State Farm Center parking lot, Student Affairs departments are invited to decorate a trunk and help create a spooktacular afternoon for local families. It's a fun way to build community connections and highlight your department. Sign up by filling out the registration form.

Encourage students to participate in Illini Wellness Week, a weeklong series of events focused on student health and well-being. From Sept. 21-25, various units on campus will be hosting activities including a Mental Health Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10am-1pm at the Illini Union Rooms B&C. The 2026 Dennis H. May Mental Health Conference on Belongingness in Higher Education' theme is Radical Reimagining: From Student Resilience to Institutional Responsibility. Join the Counseling Center and our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Delishia Pittman, President of APA Division 17 (Counseling Psychology) and Associate Professor at Temple University, on Oct. 11-12 at the Illini Union and learn about the issues impacting college students, connect with other professionals in the field, and engage in robust training related to belongingness. We Remember Student Memorial
The campus community is invited to attend the annual We Remember Student Memorial on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. on the Illini Union Anniversary Plaza. As a community of care, Illinois gathers to honor and remember members of our community who have passed away. The memorial provides an opportunity to reflect, celebrate their lives, and support those who mourn. Your presence will be meaningful to all who have experienced loss of a friend, roommate, child, classmate, or student. All are welcome; this event is open to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, or national origin.
