The Career Center invites students to our Entrepreneurship Series, a three-workshop series designed to help them explore entrepreneurship, build practical skills, and take steps toward turning their ideas into action. Registration is now open for the 2026 Student Affairs Assessment Conference. This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Darby Roberts, is the Director of Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research at Texas A&M University and co-author of Student Affairs Assessment: Theory to Practice and Frameworks for Assessing Learning and Development Outcomes. Her presentation will focus on using assessment to tell the story of student success and the impact of our work. Anyone with an interest in assessment in co-curricular settings is encouraged to attend.

Portraying Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister, Bode brings groundbreaking authenticity as the first wheelchair user to play the role on screen. Hear her story, insights on representation in media, and vision for a more accessible future. Open and free to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Join us in becoming an ally. In this training we will cover: homophobia and transphobia, privilege, discrimination and other issues in the U.S., Common LGBTQ+ student challenges, University of Illinois policies and reporting, interrupting bias, a case studies activity and creating an action plan to create change in areas of your life to further inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. Please note you MUST take LGBTQ+ Ally Training 101 BEFORE LGBTQ+ Ally Training 102. LGBTQ+ 101 builds on knowledge you need for LGBTQ+ 102. 

Join us for an Introduction to the LGBTQ+ community. In this training we will cover: LGBTQ+ identities, the gender spectrum and transgender identities, gender pronouns and intersectionality. 

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) has become a critical public health issue that brings together the intersection of structural inequities, historical and ongoing trauma and systemic failures in prevention and response. This presentation will focus on key risk and protective factors at the individual, community, and structural levels, while emphasizing the need to invest in culturally centered prevention frameworks.
