The Illini Union Bookstore is welcoming in the holiday season with a Cyber Monday Sale! Student Affairs staff receive 20% OFF all apparel and souvenirs on Monday December 1 in store from 8am-6pm and online (until 11:59pm CST). 

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is hosting a campuswide food drive to support the Food Assistance & Well-Being Program, which provides support to students facing food insecurity. The shopping-style pantries — located at both the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE) — offer free food and basic necessities in a welcoming space for all students. This program ensures no student has to choose between pursuing their education and having a meal. Learn how you can support the food pantry and help students in need. 

The Illini Union Board will be hosting the Winter Market at the Illini Union on Sunday, December 7. This is your chance to purchase hand-crafted holiday gifts from over 40 local vendors. You can also get your photo taken with the Grinch!

Are you looking to hire student employees for spring, summer or fall 2026?Register for the Illinois Spring Part-Time Job Fair on Jan. 29, 1-4 p.m., at the Illini Union. In the past, this event has attracted 1,000+ students, making this the perfect place to connect with bright, hardworking students eager to gain experience, earn money and contribute their talents on campus. Registration is FREE for campus units.  Space is limited. Register today before sports are filled.  

Dial-A-Carol has been a University Housing tradition since 1960, and you can volunteer to be part of it! Spread joy this holiday season by signing up to sing! It’s a great way to have fun with your colleagues. We'll be singing holiday songs to callers from all over the world, 24/7, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on December 11 through 11:59 p.m. December 17.

Each year, the WRC awards two scholarships: the Verdell Frazier Young Scholarship assists students who have had an interruption while pursuing a college degree and the Philip Monypenny Scholarship for students studying Political Science who are also engaged in the WRC.  Members of the scholarship review committee read and rate 10-15 applications/year and make award recommendations to the Director of the Women’s Resources Center. The Illini Union Bookstore Starbucks offers the Grounds for the Garden program. Faculty and staff can stop by the Starbucks at the Illini Union Bookstore and pick up FREE five-pound bags of used coffee grounds which you can use to add to your gardens and/or compost pile. Bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are placed outside of the Starbucks counter. Stop by any time and any day. If bags aren't available, just ask a barista.
