Mental Health First Aid Certification training courses are being offered on campus during May and June.  To see a complete list of courses and to register, please go to https://wellness.illinois.edu/mhfa  Courses are offered at no cost to attendees, but you must register and complete all portions of the training to receive certification.  Mental Health First Aid training is available through funding provided by the Mental Health Early Action on Campus Act and sponsored by Student Affairs.

Another congratulations to Dr. Pankaj Desai, recipient of the Outstanding Asian & Asian American Faculty/Staff Award! This honor recognizes his years of commitment to the Asian diasporic and international student community. As Senior Assistant Director of Inclusion Initiatives at The Career Center, Dr. Desai has led identity-centered career programs like FOCUS and CC-I, chaired the AACC Advisory Committee, and advanced leadership development through AACC and SAALC. 

Congratulations to Dr. Pankaj Desai and Jennifer Mendez, recipients of the Illini Spirit Award from the Moms Association! This award honors their leadership in creating Pathways to Success: First-Gen Career Connections, a collaborative program that connects first-gen students with faculty and staff mentors to build community and support career development. At the 2025 DSJE Awards, Alina Stetsuk, Graduate Assistant at The Career Center, earned the Peer Educator Social Justice Award, and Dr. Desai received an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Staff Social Justice. 

Fraternity and Sorority Affairs (FSA) served approximately 800 meals and distributed over 400 Homecoming T-shirts through the Greeks Support Homecoming BBQ in Fall 2024.
