Come to the Courtyard Café for Friday Funnies, featuring Rami Abushhab with opening act Spicy Clamato Improv. Abushhab is an award-winning actor based in Chicago. He played a supporting role in the film "BJ's Mobile Gift Shop," an official 2021 Sundance Film Festival selection. Rami was also featured as a stand-up comedian on "Laughter Is Good For The Soul," which debuted as the number-one comedy album in the US on iTunes. This event is free to students and the public!

OAE and IHR is offering a one-hour training session for Student Affairs Hiring Managers, which will cover the following: 5-minute welcome/introductions, 15-minute overview of Hiring Manager Guidelines, 25-minute scenarios, and 15-minute Q&A. The Training will take place on Friday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. This training will be recorded for those who cannot attend during this date/time. Attend the ZOOM Event.

Racial Justice Allies & Advocates (RJAA) is a training designed for students, staff, and faculty at the University of Illinois seeking to understand race and racism in deeper ways, promote racial justice, and dismantle systems of oppression through an interactive and peer-facilitated workshop. Congratulations to Dr. Sue Stock from the Counseling Center! She has been elected as a Member-At-Large  for the Association for the Coordination of Counseling Center Clinical Services (ACCCCS) Executive Board. This is the national organization for college counseling center clinical directors and is an extraordinary honor. Way to go Dr. Stock!

Performance review requirements are currently in place for all employees. This policy applies to academic professionals and non-probationary civil service employees. Effective performance management supports a positive workplace culture by setting clear objectives and goals, which provide employees with direction, motivation, focus, provides opportunities for open communication and feedback regarding job expectations, development, growth, recognition, coaching and areas for improvement.
