The Office of Civic Life (OCL) is partnering with Unify America for virtual dialogues. The Unify Challenge College Bowl is a guided video conversation with a student from another university with different views and background.  Together, the students will talk through a survey about big goals for our country. They’ll cover topics like mental health, climate change, policing, student loans, and immigration. No prep needed! Together with thousands of students from college campuses across America, the Unify Challenge can show how small conversations can make a big difference in our country.

Aaron Ammons was elected Champaign County Clerk in 2018. Prior to that he was an Urbana Alderman and co-founder of Champaign Urbana Citizens for Peace & Justice. Aaron worked at Illinois for 17 years and served as President of SEIU 73 Chapter 119. He served as a Trustee for the State University Retirement System and is married to State Rep. Carol Ammons (103rd District). In 2021, the voters decided by referendum to merge the Recorder’s office into the Clerk’s office, making Clerk Ammons the first Clerk and Recorder in Champaign County.

As a part of Exercise is Medicine Month, parents can engage in two group fitness classes, while their children enjoy collaborative games, healthy snack-making, and a modified group fitness class. The Illinois Leadership® Center is seeking faculty and staff to serve as Cluster Facilitators for the 2025 LeaderShape® Institute™ program. At the Institute, undergraduate students learn to lead with integrity while working toward a vision grounded in their values. Cluster Facilitators facilitate and support students’ growth.
