Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) Exhibition Opening

Illinois will host a free exhibition of the murals of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in the Illini Union Gallery in September. The show opens on Sept.7 at 10:30 a.m. with a symposium in the Pine Lounge. Prof. Gisela Sin will lead a conversation with muralism expert Prof. Sandra Zetina and photographer Ricardo Alvarado. Professors Ryan Shosted (Linguistics) and Neal Davis (Computer Science) will present their research on the Deseret Alphabet, a 19th-century writing system created by leaders of the Mormon Church. This phonetic alphabet may encapsulate pronunciations of English dialect that have otherwise disappeared over time. Using GPUs with Python: NVIDIA Workshop

This workshop will give you hands-on experience accelerating Python codes with NVIDIA GPUs.
