The Technology Services-ICS Reservation System is now accepting reservations for the Spring 2024 semester. Classrooms/labs can be reserved for individual dates or for the same time for multiple weeks in a semester.

Beginning Aug. 23, students can schedule an appointment or drop-in for writing feedback. We provide tailored presentations by request and host workshops each week. The Graduate Academy needs TAs, faculty, or staff with teaching experience to facilitate Microteaching sessions on Friday, Aug. 18, in the Armory. Facilitators keep sessions running on time, provide written feedback on lessons, and run a short discussion. ECL@Illinois is hosting a diaper drive for the Bottom Line Diaper Bank, which distributes 10,000+ diapers per month to Champaign County families. We aim to collect a month’s worth of diapers (or more!) during August because no family should start the school year worrying about having enough diapers. Collection boxes are at the ARC and the Union, or you can purchase diapers from Amazon. Thank you!

The Farms: An Allerton Folk School is offering a Holistic End of Life Planning and Caregiving Class Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6. This ongoing class will guide participants in becoming confident caregivers for loved ones facing the end of life, completing their own end-of-life planning, and being an apprentice to the mysteries of life and death. $230 total for all four classes.

The Alcohol Research Lab is looking for frequent drinkers to participate in a validation study of transdermal biosensing bracelets. Participation involves attending three laboratory sessions over the course of two weeks. *This study seeks to study drinking, not promote drinking.* Up to $300 in compensation for participation

Did your marriage end due to political differences? Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are interested in speaking with you. Participate in an approximately 30-minute phone interview and receive a $10 Amazon gift card. All interviews will be confidential and the participant's identity protected. We are looking for adults 30-60 years old with a BMI greater than 25 and are free of metabolic and GI disorders to participate. You will be asked to consume a pre-prepared snack twice daily for 12-weeks. You will also be asked to visit the laboratory 3 times for blood draws and questionnaires, as well as provide 6 stool samples. You will receive up to $500 for participating. 

The iCONS research study involves 7 2.5-hour visits & a daily gummy for 9 months.  Activities include height, weight, & eye health measurements, reading & math related questions, computer tasks, & parent questionnaires.
