Tell Us What You Think of the Veo Cosmo-e Bikes Pilot Program

In May, the university and bike sharing partner Veo launched a pilot program to explore the use of Cosmo-e bikes on campus through Aug 7. Click the link above to share your observations and comments about the ongoing trial period. Ridership data and community feedback will help determine guidelines for motorized class two e-bikes on university streets and bicycle lanes before the fall semester.

Allerton Supper Club — Aug. 19

The Aug. 19 Supper Club will feature Chefs Doug Houge and Ian Nutting. The duo started slinging singularly unique hot sauces and condiments in 2021 as The Weird Meat Boyz, and now operate The Space in downtown Champaign. The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. with the dinner served at 7 p.m. in the Allerton Library. There will also be a cash bar available that evening.

All meals are provided for 12 weeks. 3 urine collections, 4 blood draws and 7 fecal donations will be required. Participants Wanted for SNACKing Study-$500

We are looking for adults 30-60 years old with a BMI greater than 25 and are free of metabolic and GI disorders to participate. You will be asked to consume a pre-prepared snack twice daily for 12-weeks. You will also be asked to visit the laboratory 3 times for blood draws and questionnaires, as well as provide 6 stool samples. You will receive up to $500 for participating.

Seeking pregnant women for fetal hearing study

Seeking female participants between 20 and 32 weeks pregnant for research to better understand what fetuses hear on a daily basis. Participants will wear a small audio device that measures sound exposure for their baby. Participants will be paid for each measurement session they complete.
