Router Upgrade to Cause University-Wide Wi-Fi Outage June 17

A router upgrade will cause a university-wide full Wi-Fi outage on Saturday, June 17 from 4:30 AM to 9:30 AM. This will include EDUROAM, IllinoisNet, and IllinoisNet_Guest. Expect no Wi-Fi service during this time. This upgrade will allow future enhancements and improved service to our networks. Please prepare to make all necessary adjustments in advance.

Funding for public lectures in the biological and biochemical sciences

Illinois faculty and research staff are invited to submit proposals to fund public lectures on topics in the biological and biochemical sciences, either as stand-alone events or as part of a larger conference or symposium. Call for Seed Grant Proposals - Personalized Nutrition

The Personalized Nutrition Initiative is excited to announce a call for seed grant proposals and up to $50,000 each. We are partnering with both CSBS and the Healthcare Innovation Office at NCSA to encourage collaborative efforts among personalized nutrition scientists, social and behavioral scientists, and scientists working in advanced computing, software, data, and visualization.

Illini 4000 Arrival in Champaign

Help us welcome the Illini 4000 to campus during their cross-country bike ride to raise awareness for cancer research. The welcome event will be on Monday, June 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the South Entrance of the Beckman Institute. The riders will arrive at the Beckman Institute between 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., and refreshments will be served.

Paid Study for Learning Fictional Stories in the Minecraft Game

SCOPE: Soluble Corn Fiber for Promoting Executive Function Study

This study involves adults ages 45-75 years consuming two different supplements daily for two separate four-week periods. Participation involves collection of stool samples and diet records. Participants will complete surveys and computer tasks (over 6 visits of 1.5 to 2.5 hours each) to assess thinking ability. The study will take ~13 weeks total.
