REMINDER: Illinois Supervisory Skills Program Applications are due Soon!

The Illinois Supervisory Skills Program is an opportunity to develop self-awareness of management styles and personal biases, to practice strategies for resolving conflict and to build confidence in leading others through performance feedback and coaching techniques. Open to current academic or civil service employees with at least a 75%-time appointment.

Discover Architecture 2023

The School of Architecture is hosting a residential two-week, intensive summer program at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.  The program is organized around the design studio and provides a studio-focused, intensive workshop experience. By the end of the program, students should have an idea of what entails being an architecture student.

Phone call option for 2FA retiring June 12

On June 12, you will no longer be able to receive a phone call to authenticate with Duo. The “Call me” feature will be disabled. If you rely on this method of authentication, you must make sure your Duo settings are correct before this change happens to guarantee uninterrupted access to University websites and resources.

This summer, the Women's Resources Center will be offering a 4-session book club on "Sexual Citizens: Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus" by Dr Jennifer Hirsch and Dr Shamus Khan. Research Participation

Take a Stand! Sit Less!

Looking for adults aged 21-64 years with high weight for height to participate in a study into prolonged sitting and how adults think. The study involves 3 visits to Freer Hall, wearing activity monitors, and screening. Measures include cognitive tests, electroencephalography, a body scan, a maximal exercise test, and blood draws. SCOPE: Soluble Corn Fiber for Promoting Executive Function Study

This study involves adults ages 45-75 years consuming two different supplements daily for two separate four-week periods. Participation involves collection of stool samples and diet records. Participants will complete surveys and computer tasks (over 6 visits of 1.5 to 2.5 hours each) to assess thinking ability. The study will take ~13 weeks total. Compensation of $350 provided upon completion.

Seeking Breast- or Formula-fed infants to study gut microbiota development

Recruiting 2-4 month-old infants who are exclusively breastfed or formula-fed since birth and have not received any solid foods.  We will collect one infant stool sample, one maternal stool sample, and a breast milk sample, if lactating.   Participants will receive a gift certificate upon sample(s) pick up. The iCONS research study involves 7 2.5-hour visits & a daily gummy for 9 months.  Activities include height, weight, & eye health measurements, reading & math related questions, computer tasks, & parent questionnaires. Join our 70-minute study on the impact of biodiverse landscapes on well-being. The study involves doing cognitive tasks, viewing a short slideshow, and having skin moisture, heart rate, and emotions measured. Participants will receive $20 in compensation. To participate, complete this form and meet the age (18-40) and health requirements.
