New NAGPRA Procedures Established

The university's NAGPRA office recently established new procedures to comply with the NAGPRA policy in the Campus Administrative Manual. Campus Libraries Closed June 17 and 19

Campus libraries will be closed Friday, June 17 and Sunday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth, National Freedom Day. Libraries will be open on Saturday, June 18. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead. During the closure, library digital resources will remain available at library.illinois.edu

Celebrate Juneteenth in Urbana-Champaign

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It is also often observed for celebrating African American culture. Our campus will observe this holiday on Friday, June 17th.  There are celebrations planned in the local communities of Champaign and Urbana. Garden Tour at Allerton Park

Attend one of Allerton Park's Third Saturday Garden Tours  to experience the beauty of Allerton’s formal gardens while listening to the history behind their creation. Summer Food for Thought at the Asian American Cultural Center

Food for Thought is a weekly Tuesday noontime discussion focused on topics relevant to the Asian American community. The BCNN Lab is launching a study called ELIAS, which is focused on the cognitive and nutritional development of infants beginning at 12-18 months. Understanding hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)

Carle is seeking participants for a study to compare blood, skin and urine samples from individuals with and without hEDS. Participants must be female, age 18-60, and available to attend a study visit in Urbana. SCOPE: Soluble Corn Fiber for Promoting Executive Function Study

This study involves adults ages 45-75 years consuming two different supplements daily for two separate four-week periods. Participation involves collection of stool samples and diet records. Participants will complete surveys and computer tasks (over 6 visits of 1.5 to 2.5 hours each) to assess thinking ability. The study will take ~13 weeks total. Compensation of $350 provided upon completion.
