The Healthy Illini Podcast is a new resource from McKinley Health Center featuring weekly health and wellness topics for our UIUC community. Our 15-20 minute podcasts will help Keep You Well to Excel in the classroom as well as outside of it. Healthcare professionals, campus experts and of course students will come together to engage in conversation about health topics that will lead to self discovery and exploration toward enhancing your wellbeing and overall quality of life. It is Homecoming Week! There is something to do every day this week as part of the Homecoming festivities, featuring a FREE dinner on the Quad at 5pm on Monday, a Global Talent Show at 7pm in Foellinger on Tuesday, a hypnotist show at the Illini Union at 7pm on Wednesday, and capped off with the football game vs. Wisconsin on Saturday at 2:30pm and a Late Night Dance Saturday night. The Truman Scholarship is looking for academically strong students who have a passion for public service. Born in 1926 to Korean indentured servant parents in Cuba, Jeronimo Lim becomes the first Korean to enroll in university in the same school and year as Fidel Castro. Jeronimo joins the Cuban revolution and later becomes a Vice Minister in the Castro government, crossing paths with Fidel and Che Guevara. However, after being disillusioned with the unfulfilled promises of communism, and after visiting his homeland, Korea, in 1995, Jeronimo becomes a changed man and dedicates the remaining years reconnecting to his Korean roots and singlehandedly rebuilding the Korean community in Cuba.
