Reflect, Recharge, and Look Ahead
Dear Students, As the Spring semester comes to an end, take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come. Whether this term was smooth sailing or filled with challenges, every step has helped shape your growth as an environmental engineer and problem-solver. Now is the time to rest, recharge, and reconnect with family, friends, and the passions that inspire you. Stepping away from the intensity of the semester is not just a break; it’s a chance to gain fresh perspective and return with renewed energy. Let this pause be restorative. Whether you’re heading into summer research, an internship, or some well-earned downtime, carry forward the curiosity and drive that brought you through this term. We’re also proud to share some exciting news: our Environmental Engineering graduate program has moved up in the national rankings from #4 to #3! This is a reflection of the exceptional work happening across our community, and we hope it inspires you to keep aiming high. And speaking of community, stay tuned! We’ll send out invitations at the start of the semester for our Fall picnic, so be sure to watch your email. Wishing you a restful, inspiring break—and looking forward to all that’s ahead next semester! Rosa M. Espinosa-Marzal, Ph.D. Area Chair, Environmental Engineering & Science
