A postdoc position available at Chu biotechnology lab at TAMU

Dr. Chu’s biotechnology laboratory in the Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station (https://www.tamu.edu/index.html) invites applications for a postdoctoral associate position. The position is available immediately, with a preferred starting date in March 2025. The successful applicant will be engaged in research on fate, transport, and removal and biodegradation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in different PFAS-impacted matrices (soils, biosolids, water, and plants). Additionally, the successful applicant will also have opportunities to participate with other exciting projects such as biofuel and bioproduct production, and biomining. View Complete Announcement

Ph.D. Student Positions Available -Chu biotechnology lab at TAMU

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University at College Station, https://www.tamu.edu/index.html, is seeking two Ph.D. students to join Dr. Chu’s biotechnology laboratory starting in Fall 2025. The projects will focus on biodegradation and degradation of PFAS and emerging contaminants or production of biofuel or valued products. The ideal candidate must have a Master of Science degree in environmental engineering or environmental microbiology (or related field) with specific expertise in laboratory methods for microbiology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, or bioinformatics or modeling.  See Complete Announcement
