Events

Save the Date: Orientation Potluck

The PTSA invites everyone in the Uni Community to save the date for next year's Orientation Potluck in the Park!  The potluck is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, from 5-7 p.m., at AMBUCS Park in Urbana!  In case of rain, we will hold the event the very next day, on Monday, August 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at AMBUCS Park.  We will send several emails in August with links to a Signup Genius inviting everyone to donate food and/or time to the event.  Thanks to all Uni families for their support for this annual event and for all of our PTSA programming this school year.  Happy summer!

ERC/PTSA Garden Volunteers Needed

The PTSA and Uni's ERC are anxious to begin planting Uni's new garden! We’re hopeful that F & S will begin work on the area soon. With the lateness of the site prep, planting may occur at the end of the school year and during the early part of summer vacation. We will need many volunteers to set plantlings in the soil to create this beautiful space. If you are interested in coming to one or more garden workdays, please follow this link to receive more information: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0445AEA92AA64-64018743-ercptsa

Dr. Banke Journal Article Publication

The Social Studies Department would like to congratulate Dr. Banke for publishing her article, “Imperium in Imperio: The Peacetime Commander in Chief as a Linchpin of Colonial Reform”, in Volume 65 of the Journal of British Studies. The article identifies the advent of a peacetime commander in chief in British North America in 1763 as an overlooked reform that spurred colonials toward revolution. We are all excited for Dr. Banke on this significant scholarly achievement.
