The group from Lycée Charlemagne, in Thionville, is arriving March 24 in the evening, leaving April 1 midday. There are 20 students. if you can host more than one student, that is wonderful. If you can only host one, that is better than none. The chaperones/teachers are already taken care of. As of March 5 2026, I have 12 families on board to receive 16 students, but that still leaves 4 unclaimed! Let’s get our Uni Spirit going and show how welcoming we can be, how excited we are to share life in Central Illinois in the early Spring.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an activity proposal for St. Elmo Brady Day on April 20. We still need ten more activity proposals for our collaboration with BTW, so I'm extending the proposal deadline to Friday, March 13. Activities related to water, Earth Day, or the scientist St. Elmo Brady may be proposed by Uni faculty, students, clubs, or parents. Activity proposals do not need to be STEM-focused. We encourage clubs to submit activity proposals that have worked well for other contexts (e.g., DREAAM, OOC events, etc.). To learn more or submit a proposal, please visit https://forms.gle/6tDdrVH4qNy8PyYx8.
