This Sunday, you can get your car squeaky clean and support some great organizations! Come to the Prospect Bank Parking Lot (Prospect & Kirby, Champaign) on Sunday, Aug. 24, 12-3 p.m.  Uni students will be there to wash the cars, and your donations will be split between the Uni High Athletic Booster Club and Spring Initiative.

If you are great at artwork, Ms. Smyser could use your help. I need someone to draw a picture of a classroom lab with lots of rules being broken. The Writing Center is now accepting applications for peer-tutors from juniors and seniors who are interested in working with students from all grade levels on all manner of writing projects. The Writing Center is open every Tuesday and Thursday during Uni Period in 106S, and peer-tutors would be expected to work either Tuesday or Thursday each week. Applications are due by the end of the day Monday, Aug. 25.

Ms. Smyser, the subbie cross country coach, is looking for a subbie cross country manager.  Duties include attending practices and meets.  The manager assists in moving equipment, student belongings and water. The manager will be responsible for putting up the tent and assisting with timing races at meets.  The cross country manager is able to attend a study hall during PE.  Subbie applicants will be given priority, but  older students may apply.  Please see Ms. Smyser in room 301 or email cl40@illinois.edu to express interest.
