This summer Uni Design Lab will be held July 14 - 19, 2025 at Siebel Center for Design.  Students will work in teams utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to iterate, prototype and fabricate furniture in cardboard.  The class will familiarize students with the opportunities available in design, the design thinking process and the applications of AI in design.  It will be taught by Professor Shin, Associate Professor, School of Art and Design and facilitated by Ms. Evans.  
Priority given to applications received on or before Monday, May 12.

We are happy to share that Uni's former hall monitor Tony Kivel will be joining us at two end-of-year events: yearbook signing on Tuesday, May 13 (starting at 3:15 p.m.), and the Disorientation picnic and pizza party on Thursday, May 22 (starting at 12:30 p.m.) Both events will be in the green space to the east of Uni. Please be sure to say hello to Tony at one or both of these gatherings!

The last day to earn library points is May 9.  As a reminder, library points do NOT roll over to next year, so be sure to spend them all during our end-of-the-year book flash sale! (Keep an eye out for more details soon...)

May 9 is the last day to register for Illinois Hip Hop Camp 2025 (June 9-13, 2025), open to students ranging in age from current 5th graders to current high school seniors. See last week’s UniWeek for more info. Scholarship support is available (contact Adam Kruse at akruse@illinois.edu).
