Automatic renewals begin July 28 at the Library

Automatic renewals for I-Share and local library materials will be activated starting July 28. Eligible materials will be renewed, extending their loan period without requiring manual intervention from the user. Patrons will receive an email notification detailing which items have been renewed and their new due dates. For materials not eligible for automatic renewal, the standard "courtesy notice" email will still be sent as the due date approaches.

Summer 2025 Reading Day Deadlines

August 7, 5pm, is the deadline to add or drop (with a "W") a SF (12 wk), POT 1 Ind Study, S2 (8 wk), or S2B (4 wk) course (Late Registration Change via the Graduate College Student Portal); and the last day to withdraw from ALL courses if not also registered for S1 or S2A (prior 4 wk sessions) with “W’s” recorded (form and dept approval required; ISSS approval for international students). Summer 2025 S2B Registration Deadlines

August 1 is the last day to submit a Late Registration Change via the Graduate College Student Portal to drop a S2B (4 week) course without a grade of “W” recorded; and the last day to submit a Credit/No-Credit election request via the Graduate College Student Portal for a S2B (4 week) course. Microbial Profiling Analysis Workshop

Learn to analyze 16S, 18S, ITS, or similar amplicon data in this hands-on workshop focused on microbial community structure and diversity, led by High Performance Computing in Biology (HPCBio), the bioinformatics core of the Roy J. Carver Biotechnology Center. This workshop will cover processing, taxonomic classification, diversity analysis and more! Volunteer for the 2nd Annual IL Bat Fest

We are seeking volunteers for the 2nd Annual Central Illinois Bat Festival. Last year we held the inaugural event and over 800 eager community members showed up to participate and learn about the awesomeness of bats. We are hoping for an even larger turnout this year. There will be games, crafts, science talks, hands-on activities, costume contests, and an evening bat walk. Come out and help us continue this annual event on September 6.
