Transition to New Student Course Feedback System

As part of a multiyear process to assess and update teaching feedback and evaluation across our campus’s academic units, the university will transition to a new system for gathering student course feedback. The new Feedback on the Learning Experience (FLEX) survey will replace the Instructor and Course Evaluation System (ICES), the university’s current end-of-course student ratings system. A limited set of summer 2025 courses will begin using FLEX and then FLEX will fully replace ICES for fall 2025 courses. Learn more at the online FAQ.

Volunteer for TA Training!

More than 750 graduate students will be starting as a Teaching Assistant (TA) this August! Despite this daunting number, we offer a TA training program that involves small group experiences, concurrent sessions that allow TAs to customize their training and practice teaching opportunities. We can only do this because many experienced TAs, staff, and faculty volunteer to help with the Fall 2025 Graduate Academy for College Teaching. We invite you to volunteer and help make this upcoming TA training program a success between Monday, August 18 to Thursday, August 21. Submit the volunteer form.
