The Branco Weiss "Society in Science" Fellowship supports postdoctoral researchers who wish to pursue scientifically rigorous but unconventional projects outside the mainstream of science. Researchers in the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, & humanities are eligible, and the fellowship provides up to five years of support. Awardees may conduct their projects in any number of locations throughout the world. Applicants must have earned their PhD within the five years prior to the 1/15/25 application deadline.

Whether you are a geo-reference novice or an expert, grab a seat, a lunch, and your laptop as we piece together old insurance maps from 1915 of the Champaign-Urbana!
