June 7 is the last business day to cancel POT 1 Independent Study, S2 (8 week), or S2A (4 week) registration and receive a 100% refund if you are not enrolled in courses in any other summer terms (Withdrawal/Cancellation Form required). June 9 is the last day to cancel this registration via Self-Service. The refund schedule for Summer 2024 is found on the Registrar's website. The Mentoring Matters Summer Institute is a 2-day, interactive event to support the development of strong mentoring skills. In addition to keynote addresses for all participants, the institute will feature a special track for graduate students. Grad students will collaborate with one another and with experts to identify effective mentoring practices, learn strategies for strengthening your own network of mentors, and develop your skills as a mentor. The Council of Graduate Schools teams up with ProQuest to offer their annual Distinguished Dissertation Awards. Awards honor oustanding dissertations that have made unusually significant contributions to their disciplines. Dissertations must have been deposited sometime between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2024, and awards are given in two broad fields each year. This year's fields are 1) Mathematics, Physical Sciences, & Engineering and 2) Social Sciences.
