The Food Assistance and Wellbeing Program at Campus Recreation is hosting a mobile pantry on Tuesday 12/19 from 12-2pm at CRCE front desk. A selection of non-perishable food items (grains, canned goods, and snacks) and personal hygiene products will be available. No registration required. First come first served. Limit to one bag per person.

This 4-week group will provide an overview and deep dive into a wide variety of research-related careers at universities, from research development or grant administration to safety and compliance or research communications. Participants will learn about the research ecosystem in higher education, meet and hear from people working in a range of positions at the university, and get advice for how to land those positions after grad school. This program is a collaboration between the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation and the Graduate College.

Join the Writers Workshop to kick off the New Year the "write" way! For folks planning to catch up on some writing over Winter Break, we'll be offering a mini-retreat during the week of January 8th on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, in the Main Library's Orange Room or by Zoom. Illinois Business Consulting provides students with real-world project opportunities while helping clients solve challenges and identify opportunities. Illinois Design Consulting brings together Illinois students from across campus, building teams who use design-thinking to provide solutions for a range of clients. EntreCORPS is a student-based, pro-bono consulting firm at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that provides startups with innovative, strategic, research-backed business advice.

The university is sponsoring four graduate students to attend the 2024 Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) workshop on April 14-17, 2024, in Washington, D.C. The workshop is hosted by American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS). Cost of travel, lodging, registration and meals will be covered for selected students.
